About Lisa Parsons

Dr. Lisa Parsons is a board certified ob-gyn. She received her undergraduate education at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs NY, where she received a degree in biochemistry in addition to a wonderful liberal arts education.

During her time at college, her parents and brothers made the move from Guilford Connecticut to Maine. Loving the state of Maine, and loving her family, Lisa was happy to be accepted into the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, from which she graduated in 2001. She completed her residency at Maine Medical Center in 2005.

You may recognize Dr. Lisa as the doctor who delivered your baby (or has taken care of you), co-owner of the medical spa Mindful Roots in Falmouth, Maine, or as a teacher and discipline chief of ob-gyn at UNECOM. You might have just seen her at Trader Joe’s!

As an entrepreneur and trailblazer, Dr. Lisa is excited to be opening Higher Ground Women’s Health, the first gynecology practice in Maine following the direct care model. This practice has been lovingly and mindfully created to bring her heart and healing to you. She is so excited to be providing this service to the community, and to be following her inner compass.

In addition to medicine and teaching, Dr. Lisa is a certified scuba diver, lover of all things bulldog, world traveler, and cares dearly for her friends and family.
